The Story of my Auto Harp

When my family lived in Tonasket, we went to a Christian school that was at our church. There were 5 teachers in the 2 years we had the school. One of the teachers in the school was Mrs. Ramos. She was a lower grade all-subject teacher and a drama teacher. My mom would go to her house often with my sister, my brother, and I. One day she called us to come over. My mom went in first, then me. When I got in Mrs. Ramos was crying and told me that I was a Levite leader and that I am supposed to worship God with the harp. She had been praying and God had told her to give me her Auto Harp. The Auto Harp had been her great grandma's and it had been in the family for generations. It was so important to her that she stored it in her room under her bed and had kept it with her through all the houses she'd lived in. She reason didn't know that she was confirming the calling that God had given me at the family camp the year before, since she wasn't at family camp. I keep it under my bed now, to protect it. I like playing it, but it is hard to play it in worship and I need lessons to get really good at it. I am really thankful to Mrs. Ramos for listening to God and giving me her Auto Harp.

How I got my calling

Here's a little post about how I was called to be a worshiper by God. It started at Family Camp in Tonasket. We went there with our church during the 4th of July. We all stayed in cabins that were pre-made for people to sleep in and some of us were in tents, it was petty much vacation. There was a huge chapel that we all went to every day and and there was a big area for breakfast, dinner and lunch. Then the 3rd or 4th day in to it, we went to church at the evening like we always did there and the pastor asked for an altar call for anyone that wanted to, and there was a bunch of people that went up and I didn't really know why so I did too. I knelt and just sat there like a lot of other people and there were other leaders that went around and prayed with everyone. The leader that came to me was a worship leader and his name was Trevor Seaman. He sat down and prayed over me and said that I was going to be like David a great worshiper and instrument player. David was a man from the Bible and was a guy after God's own heart, and to me that is pretty cool. Then my mom came over and Trevor told my mom, (when your mom knows, you are held accountable for it) and my mom was very excited. So then at the end of camp there were fireworks going off for the 4th of July, and it has stuck with me all this time.
